She asks the hard questions

Her record, from the Township Council’s own minutes and meeting videos.

Why a NO vote matters: a NO vote is how a council member refuses to sign off on something that isn’t right for residents yet.

Crossroads · Mar 16, 2026

Voted NO on Ordinance 18-2026

The Crossroads plan passed 4–3. Before the vote, Hillary asked about stormwater and flooding (“Are we pushing the flooding to another set of neighbors?”) and pressed for an independent traffic study.

Her NO: she fought for neighbors’ flood protection and wouldn’t approve a plan that sends stormwater faster into an untested pipe downstream.

Block 4905 · Dec 22, 2025

Moved Resolution 347-2025

Hillary made the motion to remove the “area in need of redevelopment” designation from homes on Block 4905. It passed 4–2.

Transparency · 2025

Wrote the rules to open subcommittee meetings

Her resolutions called for posted notice and agendas, open meetings, recordings and minutes. Resolution 113-2025 passed 5–2 on Mar 11, 2025, was rescinded nine days later, and she brought it back on Apr 8, 2025. She also moved to make the Council’s financial-disclosure rule take effect right away.

Crossroads: standing up for neighbors

A stronger deal · Jan 6, 2026

She proposed a stronger deal: 20% affordable housing instead of 15%, and mandatory flood protection for Bell Avenue neighbors. It failed 2–5.

Flooding · Mar 5, 2026

She voted NO on the final plan because it didn’t fix flooding: “I will not vote to push the water downstream onto another set of neighbors.” (March 5, 2026)

Her NO: she held out for residents’ flood protection and voted no when it wasn’t met.
